About Learn Inbound

Learn Inbound is a digital marketing training provider based in Dublin, Ireland. Launched in 2015, Learn Inbound went on to host over 50 events, which encompassed an annual marketing conference with over 500 attendees, monthly digital marketing meetups called Pint-Sized Marketing, as well as in-person, full-day training courses at Aviva Stadium, covering topics such as Technical SEO, International SEO, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, and more.

History of Learn Inbound

Since 2015, Learn Inbound has welcomed over 5,000 marketers from across Ireland, the United Kingdom, and further afield. Some of the speakers who presented at Learn Inbound included Aleyda Solis, Wil Reynolds, Rand Fishkin, Talia Wolf, Oli Gardner, and more. With amazing speakers from companies such as Moz, Unbounce, LinkedIn, Wolfgang Digital, and other major brands and digital agencies, the event became one of the main highlights in the Irish digital marketing calendar each year, growing into a community of marketers who flew in from across Europe to attend its annual conference.

Learn Inbound was acquired by Digital DNA in 2022 and has since hosted another conference.

  • When did Learn Inbound launch?
    Learn Inbound was launched in 2015 with the aim to help marketers deepen their understanding of digital marketing, covering various tactics and strategies. It was created as a community where people could learn from each other, build connections, and grow their expertise.
  • Who were the founders?
    Learn Inbound was founded by Mark Scully and Siobhán McGinty with a simple goal: to help marketers dive deep into inbound marketing. They created an educational hub designed for learning, connecting with peers, and gaining actionable advice from industry influencers. Their vision was to build a passionate community where professionals could find inspiration, learn practical skills, and apply them in their daily roles, all without any fluff or fillers.
  • What events did Learn Inbound run?
    Learn Inbound began as a quarterly event, held every January, April, July, and October. Over time, it evolved into an annual conference, accompanied by monthly digital marketing meetups known as Pint-Sized Marketing. After two years of hosting the conference and meetups, Learn Inbound expanded to include in-person training courses at The Aviva Stadium in Dublin. These courses delved into advanced topics such as Google Ads, Conversion Rate Optimisation, International SEO, and technical SEO, among others. With full-day sessions, marketers gained in-depth insights and knowledge from industry experts on various tactics and strategies.
  • What was Pint-Sized Marketing?
    Pint-Sized Marketing was a monthly series of marketing meetups in Dublin, attracting around 100 attendees. It started at Foley's Bar and later moved to venues such as Intercom, LinkedIn, and iProspect's offices. Each event featured expert talks on digital marketing, providing actionable talks with opportunities to network with other marketers. Although the meetup didn’t resume after COVID-19 restrictions, SparkMojo plans to bring back regular digital marketing meetups in Dublin in 2025.
  • What speakers presented at Learn Inbound?
    Learn Inbound has showcased a wide range of digital marketing experts over the years. Among the speakers are Jono Alderson from Yoast, Shannon McGuirk from Aira Digital, and Becky Simms from Reflect Digital. Other notable speakers, such as Barry Adams, Tiffany DaSilva, Paddy Moogan, and Talia Wolf, have also taken the stage, offering insights on everything from SEO and content marketing to CRO and paid advertising. Each speaker brought their own expertise, making the event a valuable experience for all who attended.
  • Where did Learn Inbound take place?
    The very first Learn Inbound event was held at the Digital Hub in Dublin. After that, it moved to the Button Factory for two events. As demand grew, the event shifted to The Academy in Dublin, where it ran for three years as a 300-person quarterly gathering. Eventually, Learn Inbound found its home at the Mansion House for its annual conference, expanding to 500 attendees and 20 speakers over two days. In 2019, the event moved to Aviva Stadium, accommodating 600 people and featuring 24 speakers across two days.
  • What happened to Learn Inbound?
    Learn Inbound’s last Pint-Sized Marketing meetup was held in early 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted in-person events. Like many other events, it was put on hold as the world adapted to social distancing. The meetup was always designed to be a community-focused, in-person experience, so when virtual events became the norm, Mark decided it wouldn’t have the same impact. Luckily, Learn Inbound returned in 2023 after being acquired by Digital DNA in 2022, bringing back its annual conference. Regarding Pint-Sized Marketing, its future remains uncertain. It was a huge part of Learn Inbound’s schedule, and now that Digital DNA is in charge, it’s up to them to decide if those monthly meetups will return. Since there hasn’t been a Pint-Sized Marketing event since February 2020, a comeback might be unlikely.
